With the exception of gadgets, I am the type of person who won't buy something new unless I terribly need it. I don't buy new stuff if I still have something in place. For example, even though my mom and my gf are complaining that my slippers are already old and dirty, I refuse to buy new ones because even though my old pair is old and dirty, it's still very reliable.
Even with gadgets, I am like that. I have an old iPod Touch 2G. It's two generations old but I refuse to upgrade simply because I don't see the need. My Touch 2G works perfectly fine albeit it has some scratches here and there. It is, after all, almost two years old.
Having said that, I wish I bought a watch winder, preferably an orbita watch winder. You see, my dad gave me an automatic watch. I was but an old teen then and the design didn't really appeal to me. Besides, I was stick-thin back then and it didn't suit me. But my regret is that when I started working, I should have had even just one of those single watch winders. I was living on practicality thinking that I can always check my phone for the time. I didn't see the value of my watch. While I'm at it, I could have gotten some watch boxes too.
Now that watch doesn't even work properly. I can shake it and wind it and it'll work again. But even if I'm wearing it, it would stop. I think something is wrong with the watch. I should have just taken good care of it. I can buy a watch winder but even if I did, if the watch indeed is broken then my purchase would be useless. And it's a very nice watch too!
